Wildane Kennels Pet Resort is 2 acres of Pet Pampering. It is located in the cool, breezy foothills of El Yunque rainforest. Wildane has been owner operated for over 25 years. We cordially invite you to join our guests in their happy 'home away from home'. Their vacation is in our loving capable hands; so that your vacation or travel can be spent with full confidence that your pet is safe, happy and well taken care of.

We have escorted walks on our two acres of landscaped grounds. There are many bushes to visit on these walks! Wildane also has a large exercise area called 'the Barking Lot'.

Wildane has spacious pet accommodations. We do cater to each of our pet guests' personal needs and requests. Wildane's kitchen serves customized diets for your pets individual needs and tastes. ( Hill's Science Diet, IAMS, Royal Canine, Eagle Pack, Solid Gold, Purina One, Pedigree, Beneful, Mighty Dog, Little Caesar, Fancy Feast, 9 Lives, Whiskas, Nutri Pet), We also will accept or prepare, on request, home recipes such as vegetarian, organic, and kosher diets.

Wildane is a hands on kennel. There is interaction all day long. The environment is fresh and green. The kennel is surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds. Music plays all day to the accompaniment of local birds and tree frogs. Wildane is the home of loving pet care. It is a little piece of pet heaven on earth. We are proud of what we do.

DOGS • CATS • EXOTICS

Dogs: Each pet has their own personal 'suite'. These suites are divided into two roomy areas. A private sleeping area and dining area ( beds are provided) from 5' x 8' up to 8' x 15'. These roomy areas open up into a run and private play area (deck beds are provided). These spacious areas are between 5' x 22' to 8' x 60'. Each suite has its' own night light. All our suites are housed in the main kennel building, which is of concrete construction.

Guests may bring personal items such as toys, biscuits, vitamins, treats, shampoos and other toiletries or goodies.

In house grooming is also available. All guests are bathed and groomed upon arrival. They are also given a complimentary bath and grooming before checking out. Spa treatments are available upon request.

Breakfast and dinner are served individually. After meal biscuits are served. Guests are also given a midday snack and a good night treat.

There is a large secure playground area ( called the 'Barking Lot' ); where dogs can visit bushes and play with pre-approved play mates or our physical fitness trainer. These activities are supervised by our qualified staff.

Special Needs:

We care for pets from birth ( assisted whelping, orphan pups) to our senior citizens. Our guests have ranged from tiny teacup pups to the massive giant breeds that can tip the scales at over 200 pounds. We have cared for the rare exotic breeds ( Chinese Crested, King Charles Cavalier, Anatolian Mastiff) and our happy local satos.

We live here and care for your pets 24/7. We also offer specialized care for the post operative pets and those with special needs. diabetics, blind, heart conditions, epileptics, deaf, paralyzed, allergy monitoring or other physical or mental handicaps.

Cats: Our feline guests are located in a separate part of the main building. These guests have large 'apartments' These areas are the size of a large executive desks. Each apartment has a covered littler box, a cave shaped bed, and a shelf for elevated viewing.

We request the kitties bring toys, treats and other personal items. Cats are given free choice of dry foods and offered canned food twice daily, according to the individual pets needs.

Cats are given a bath and groomed upon arrival. Prior to check out they are groomed again.

Well socialized cats are given individualized time in the cat room. They are able to enjoy the amenities of the cat room and interact more freely with us.

Special Feline Care: We live on these grounds and care for your pet 24/7. We also offer specialized care for the special needs feline.

Birds, Exotics: We have accommodations for exotic pets. It would be best to contact us directly since this is a very broad area. ( Up to date the most exotic was a pair of Fennecs. They are also known as-Bat-Eared Sahara Desert Foxes.)
